The King‘s demeanor remained calm, his tone slow. "Do you think I would give you the opportunity to do such things?"
There was a hint of killing intent in his eyes, showing no regard for anyone. He wanted to make it clear to Liam that he wouldn't let him have his way and that he couldn't protect Isabelle. And he genuinely wanted to kill Isabelle.
As for George, he doubted he would step in if things went south. His bond with Liam wasn‘t that strong.
