"I hope you can hear me. It might help you wake up. But I'm also scared you can hear me," he said, pausing the massage and holding her close. "Because I don't know how long it'll take for you to wake up .."
He feared she might hear everything but remain trapped, unable to respond. That was why he hadn't let Ethan, Danny, and the others visit her. He didn't want her to hear their voices.
George massaged her for an hour before carrying her to take a lift downstairs. He took her to the backyard in a wheelchair, where it was sunny and warm. He often took her outside for some sun.
