He leaned in close to Maria, a slight smirk on his face, his eyes dangerous as he lowered his voice and said, "This way, I can see everything clearly..."
Gunshots rang out from the front hall. Jim glanced that way and said softly, "Well... Hear it? It's starting..."
Maria gave him a look and said, "Be careful, you might not make it out alive!"
With that, she turned and walked out.
