Raelynn murmured in disbelief, "How is this possible? If we didn't buy him a birthday cake in the past, can't he buy one for himself?"
John said furiously at his wife, "Why did you say this out loud? Are you implying we've been abusing him? Has he ever lacked pocket money all these years?"
Raelynn sighed. "This child is really too irresponsible. He doesn't even know how to spend our money wisely."
She then asked John, "How much do you give him every month? I want to ask him why he can't even buy himself a cake!"
John was slightly taken aback by the question. "Why me? Why would I give an irresponsible child money?"
