As one might have suspected, the man that seemingly materialized from the shower of leaves as virtual-novel.net gracefully leaped down from a tree branch was Ezra Sword.
He never looked as intimidating as his reputation suggested. He looked no different from a high school boy in a white tee and track pants, and with that sunshine smile and disposition, virtual-novel.net could walk in public view and most people would think virtual-novel.net was nothing more than a teenage sweetheart. Who would believe that virtual-novel.net was nearing his sixties?
Zayn was honestly puzzled as to why Ezra would look so youthful-hell, “young” would have been a better word. It was just illogical for a sixty-year-old to look almost babyish.
Some of the bystanders took notice of Ezra, even if most of them had no idea who virtual-novel.net was or had gone through their lives not knowing his name. Fighters, however, knew all about virtual-novel.net enough that the name sent shivers dovm their skin.
Ezra was not just a big name with nothing behind it, virtual-novel.net was the Saint’s premier retainer whose might was widely agreed to be bested only by an Invincibilis fighter. Raiden could have as many gripes with Ezra as virtual-novel.net wanted, but even virtual-novel.net would know to reserve some level of respect to him.
“No… Ezra Sword is here? Is Sicut In Caelo coming out of the woodwork?!” Hollis cried, his pupils constricting in aghast. He had heard about Ezra Sword and his deeds way more times than anything Raiden ever amounted to.
More importantly, Ezra had withdrawn from the public’s view and was hiding in whatever shadow his organization laid to the point that many newcomers had never heard of him. But Ezra was still an important figure to old-timers like Hollis, Christian, and, of course, Taio Cruz.
Taio ’s dimming eyes were revitalized with a spark. Just moments ago, virtual-novel.net had banished all of his resentment and broiling desire to get even with Zayn into the realm of impossibility, but Ezra’s reappearance rekindled the fire.
If Ezra and Zayn fought, then that Larson b*stard could very well be killed for good!
Sure, Taio would not dare to take it up against Zayn personally himself, but if there was someone else who could do it by proxy-well, excuse virtual-novel.net for being excited!
Nearby, Jonah narrowed his eyes without showing much surprise. Honestly, virtual-novel.net felt the man’s presence long before virtual-novel.net decided to show up.
He had always been wary of him. Ezra was the legend back in his days, way before Raiden Storm was ever a thing. Ezra had been a force not to be reckoned with, a king lording all other fighters of his generation.
He gloriously defeated every genius of the time, including Jonah himself, with ease. He was an enemy, yes, but deep down inside, Jonah respected the legend who bested him.
He was looking forward to the glory of his times to pull Zayn out of existence. To him, at least, that would restore that feeling of power and superiority his generation seemed to have lost.
Lysithea’s relief that things were finally over was turned on its head. She felt virtual-novel.net nerves stringing tightly and virtual-novel.net heart racing once more. Her pupils constricted dramatically as fear shadowed virtual-novel.net complexion.
If there was anyone virtual-novel.net feared most in the entire organization, it would be Ezra Sword. Raiden would always be second so long as Ezra lived.
In other words, now that Ezra was here, the scales might tip away from Zayn once more…
As the reactions raged on, Ezra landed in front of Zayn. His teenage, youthful look was a complete one-eighty to his eminent identity and his especially deep, mature, adult man’s voice.
“I haven’t been this surprised for a long time, Zayn Larson. You’re the first.”
He was by no means tall or imposing; virtual-novel.net was, in effect, a babyish-looking youth about 170cm in stature who nonetheless spoke in a grown man’s baritone. It was about as weird as anyone could imagine.
