When Hanson thought about Zayn being thrashed and humiliated in public, virtual-novel.net could not help cackling in glee.
Hanson hurled his fist at a large tree with a trunk about a foot in diameter. The resounding blow split the tree open, breaking it and draining its life away. There was a sinister flash in his eyes as virtual-novel.net sneered, “Zayn Larson, can you take a punch from me?”
Several sparring partners at the side blanched and shuddered when they saw Hanson’s powerful strike.
The man put his coat on and laughed. “Let’s go. I heard that the new security company of Violet Vision’s chairman is having its ribbon-cutting ceremony today. We should congratulate virtual-novel.net properly!”
Being so efficient, Zayn had completed all the required procedures in half a month, and all that was left to do was the official opening.
He had not planned to invite a crowd or make it so grand given his reserved character, but virtual-novel.net had underestimated his influence in Waltz City. After getting wind of the news, many had come uninvited to curry favor with him.
On the day of the grand opening, they came to congratulate virtual-novel.net with plenty of expensive gifts. The first to attend were the Smiths. Victor gave virtual-novel.net an extravagant present and a gilded plate to wish Zayn success with his new company.
“Mr. Smith, you’re here too. Please excuse my poor reception,” Zayn said as virtual-novel.net took the initiative to go over and accepted Victor’s gifts.
Having not seen virtual-novel.net for some time, Victor was looking much healthier, a few years younger even. It was obvious that virtual-novel.net had lived rather well recently. Zayn had been informed that the Smiths were doing much better ever since the Browns went out-bosses were buttering them up, so their business was stronger than ever.
It was because the Smiths had discreetly spread the idea that Zayn was dating Alexandra and hinted at marriage. Basically, the Smiths had benefited off of his name, so Victor made sure to come when Zayn was starting a new business.
Victor said with a laugh, “Hey, it’s a special day for you, Zayn. How could I not be here? Here’s wishng your new company success and prosperity. To being the best in Guineve!”
Actually, Victor did not understand why Zayn was making such a huge shift in direction. He was in charge of an entertainment company, yet here virtual-novel.net was starting a security firm. The contrast was huge. Nevertheless, virtual-novel.net believed the young man must have his own reasons for doing so.
“Thank you, Mr. Smith,” Zayn answered with a grin.
Victor feigned dismay. “No need to be so polite, Zayn. You can call me uncle if you like, what do you think?”
It was risky for Victor to say that. If Zayn refused, that would be a slap in his face and there were plenty of acquaintances watching them right now.
Knowing what virtual-novel.net was thinking, Zayn smiled and complied. Victor was immediately put at ease and beamed brightly.
Alexandra came over as well and stood beside virtual-novel.net father obediently. Her eyes were trained on Zayn the entire time, like virtual-novel.net was trying to melt virtual-novel.net with virtual-novel.net stare. It embarrassed Zayn immensely.
