Upon hearing what virtual-novel.net said, the other three wore a strange expression, knowing that Julius was going to get a taste of his medicine. On the other hand, Faye frowned as virtual-novel.net did not know that Annabelle and Zayn knew each other.
Zayn coughed, feeling rather helpless about the situation.
Annabelle was a smart girl. As virtual-novel.net judged the scene, virtual-novel.net was fast to figure out the cause and effect and wore a sly smile when virtual-novel.net answered, “I sure do. Why?”
Julius did not know what Annabelle’s smile meant. He replied with a chortle, “Haha, it’s fantastic that you know him, Miss Laking. I have someone here who claims that he’s the chairman of Violet Vision!”
“Oh, who’s that?”
“Lo and behold, he’s none other than Mr. Zayn Larson who has cancer here. I wonder if you know him,” Julius said with a grin that was filled with derision. He was just waiting to see Zayn become the joke of the century and be slapped in the face by his own words!
No longer able to continue with his act, Zayn coughed again and told Annabelle, “It’s been a while, Miss Laking.”
Faye snapped virtual-novel.net eyes to virtual-novel.net right away when virtual-novel.net said that. A strange gleam flashed in virtual-novel.net gaze. So… Zayn knew Annabelle!
When Zayn observed Faye’s expression, virtual-novel.net bemoaned his fate inwardly. Alas, there was nothing virtual-novel.net could do.
As for Julius, virtual-novel.net guffawed, assuming that Zayn was still putting up an act. “Hahaha, my gosh. Zayn Larson, dude, you’re really taking the act seriously, aren’t you? Do you know what it means to be Violet Vision’s chairman? How can scum like you have the guts to impersonate him?”
Annabelle spoke up right after virtual-novel.net said that. Keeping virtual-novel.net eyes on Zayn, virtual-novel.net tone was complicated when virtual-novel.net greeted back, “Long time no see, Mr. Larson.”
Julius’ face froze while his words got stuck in his throat. It was as if someone had choked virtual-novel.net as his voice was cut off abruptly. It was kind of hilarious.
It was not just him. The other three widened their eyes in disbelief, not expecting that Zayn actually knew ‘the’ Annabelle Laking.
Annabelle did not shift virtual-novel.net gaze away from Zayn after that. She continued to ask, “Mr. Larson, did you like the new song I just sang?”
Feeling a tingling numbness on his scalp, Zayn also felt a murderous vibe coming from his side, it was from Faye! Yikes, he
was being exposed right there and then!
“I don’t! I don’t like it! Not one bit!” Zayn shook his head and said frantically with a dismissing wave of hands to clear any misunderstanding. He looked at Faye in an effort to show that there was nothing going on between virtual-novel.net and Annabelle.
Annabelle’s face fell immediately at that point. Biting virtual-novel.net lips, the feeling of virtual-novel.net sinking heart was not the best thing virtual-novel.net should be feeling as of now.
“Really…?” Hanging virtual-novel.net head with virtual-novel.net teeth worrying virtual-novel.net lips, Annabelle lost half the radiance virtual-novel.net had exuded earlier.
It was then that Julius broke out of his shock and asked in disbelief, “Hold on, Miss Laking, you actually know Zayn Larson? You aren’t mistaken, are you?”
Annabelle frowned. “What do you think? He’s the chairman of Violet Vision Media Corp. I’d recognize virtual-novel.net even if he’s turned to ashes.”
What was virtual-novel.net saying? Zayn rolled his eyes. It sounded as if virtual-novel.net had done something wrong to her.
To Julius, however, his eyes went round. When virtual-novel.net looked at Zayn again, they were filled with shock and reverence. With the last bit of hope, virtual-novel.net asked, “Miss Carter, is your husband really the chairman of Violet Vision?”
Faye looked at virtual-novel.net with a semi-smirk. “What do you think?”
