Horton was punched by The Fool a few times to the extent that virtual-novel.net lost his ability to fight. The Fool lifted virtual-novel.net up in the air like virtual-novel.net was a puny chick, and virtual-novel.net was in a very disheveled state.
Terrified, his entire body was shuddering in fear. He had lost his prior confidence and arrogance. He was already completely withered by now and was filled with fear of death!
In fact, virtual-novel.net even began to beg for forgiveness arduously, “Fool, oh, Fool! Please free me, and I promise that I won’t ever go against you anymore. I’m willing to be your subordinate, sir!”
He shouted very loudly for The Fool to pardon him. Marissa was so furious to see how pitiful the cowardly Horton was begging for forgiveness that virtual-novel.net almost fainted. She had never expected that Horton, who was usually so heroic, brave, and overbearing on usual days, would actually cravenly cling to life. She was very disappointed in virtual-novel.net and found virtual-novel.net shameless!
She used to trust Horton so much, even spending such a large amount of money to employ virtual-novel.net for virtual-novel.net protection. Now that virtual-novel.net turned out to be just a craven man who feared death, virtual-novel.net regretted virtual-novel.net vote of confidence immensely!
Regret and terror filled every inch of virtual-novel.net body. If virtual-novel.net knew that assassins would be lying in wait for her, virtual-novel.net should not have listened to Horton last night. Instead, virtual-novel.net should have listened to the Rheasian special agent’s advice instead!
Then, virtual-novel.net would not end up in such a critical situation now. She did not want to die because virtual-novel.net still had a long, happy life ahead of virtual-novel.net to enjoy.
The Fool looked at Horton in contempt. He swung a kick that sent virtual-novel.net kneeling in front of Marissa. “A craven deadbeat who fears death like you doesn’t deserve to be my subordinate.”
The kick was so heavy that it broke Horton’s ribs instantly and resulted in a huge sunken hole. Had it not been for Horton’s tenacity as a master fighter, virtual-novel.net would have already died.
Even if that was the case, the intense pain still drove Horton to the brink of madness!
His expression was filled with terror and despair. Sensing The Fool’s murderous intent towards him, virtual-novel.net felt an intense survival instinct arise in his heart. He roared aloud, “Fool, you can’t kill us! We’re in Rheasian territory! Rheasia has already sent out special agents to protect us. If you kill us, Rheasia surely won’t let you off!”
Hank and Grant stepped forward and said, “Fool, Miss Marissa is our honorable guest. If you kill her, you won’t be able to leave Rheasia alive, so my best advice is for you to stop behaving recklessly!”
“That’s right. The person in charge of Miss Marissa’s safety is the most powerful instructor in the Insurgent Trifecta, and virtual-novel.net is already on his way. He is arriving soon, and virtual-novel.net is a 4S-class powerhouse. All of you combined will not be a match for our instructor!”
However, The Fool behaved as if virtual-novel.net had just heard the funniest joke. “Ha-ha-ha… A 4S-class powerhouse? The Insurgent Trifecta is just an abandoned organization in Rheasia where all the talented people are dead, leaving only the instructors of Wolf’s Fang and Dragon’s Blood who are slightly capable. The instructor of Dragon’s Blood is on a mission in another country while the instructor of Wolf’s Fang is only a 3S-class powerhouse. Even if virtual-novel.net were to come, virtual-novel.net can’t possibly fight the three of us.”
Satan and the Scarlet Witch furrowed their brows on the side. Satan said, “Fool, we did sense a powerful presence in the past few days. The presence has been warning us, and I wonder if that’s a 4S-class transhuman.”
The Scarlet Witch added, “Fool, Satan is right. We did sense the intense presence of a transhuman warning us recently. I wonder if that’s a super special agent from Rheasia.”
The Fool waved his hand dismissively and said in a determined tone, “That’s impossible! I’ve already looked into this properly and found that the Insurgent Trifecta is in charge of the mission to protect Marissa this time. It’s impossible for there to be a 4S-class powerhouse in the Insurgent Trifecta.”
Next, virtual-novel.net snapped his fingers and said, “Stop this nonsense and kill the people around Marissa at your fastest speed. The boss wants virtual-novel.net captured alive.”
Upon receiving the order, Satan and the Scarlet Witch nodded strenuously then immediately launched attacks at Marissa’s team.
As two second-tier master fighters, they were extremely powerful, and now that Horton had already lost his ability to fight, the rest of those A-class bodyguards were utterly no match for them. The bodyguards could not even hit them with bullets. They overcame these people in just a few moments and left them collapsing to the ground, lingering with just one breath.
In the end, Hank and Grant were the only ones left. As the final defense line, they guarded Marissa with their lives.
They knew that it was impossible for them to live anymore under such circumstances. It had only been ten minutes, so Zayn could not have possibly rushed over within such a short period.
