Everyone was so startled by the scene that they were screaming loudly as they were scared out of their wits, especially those girls. Their bodies went limp from being too horrified and they lost their footing.
Gary was flabbergasted as well. He had never expected that there really would be ghosts on Mount Septimus. It was bone-chilling.
There were two men who were exceptionally bold, and they solemnly vowed that they would vanquish ghosts if there really were any initially.
Right then, though, they turned ghastly pale from being startled. They were so terrified that they turned around and ran, screaming as they fled.
“There are ghosts for real! Wh-what should we do, Gary? I’m so scared…” A girl’s knees buckled as a result of virtual-novel.net trepidation. Her legs finally gave way and virtual-novel.net went limp.
Gary was flushed as well, and his lips were even trembling in fear. He shoved the girl away and began charging down the mountain.
The two remaining girls stood there, helpless and all by themselves. Soon, they saw the arm stick out from the soil, followed by a head. They instantly passed out from the sight of that face covered in blood!
Mount Septimus regained its silence with faint moonlight illuminating the ground. It was as if the moon in the sky was the only witness to the scene before it.
It did not take long before the man, whose face was covered in blood, got out from the hole with great difficulty. He coughed a few times in agony then lay sprawled on the ground weakly. He began laughing as virtual-novel.net looked up to the full moon in the sky.
“Haha, I’m not dead, I’m alive! Haha… Cough, cough, cough…” He laughed aloud then got choked by his own laughter until virtual-novel.net started tearing up.
He was precisely Zayn, the very Zayn who had survived a great disaster!
Three days. He had been unconscious in the hole for three days and three nights. Moreover, virtual-novel.net had been buried in the earth.
It was fortunate that virtual-novel.net came prepared in advance by ensuring that there was still oxygen supply even if the hole was buried so that virtual-novel.net could successfully survive!
A few waves of people came to search for virtual-novel.net over the past few days. Other than Ezra and Lysithea, there were members of the Insurgent Trifecta, the Insurgent Unifecta, the Insurgent Duofecta, and also all sorts of forces, but no one managed to find him.
He managed to survive despite being caught in the explosion that had buried virtual-novel.net alive, hence virtual-novel.net had no choice but to acknowledge that it was a miracle. It was an absolute miracle!
If Ezra were to learn about this, virtual-novel.net would certainly admire Zayn even more, and perhaps even be terrified of him!
However, even if virtual-novel.net did manage to survive, virtual-novel.net was still too severely injured. Let alone the impact of the huge explosion in the end, virtual-novel.net had been severely injured by Ezra beforehand. If Joe or Taio had been in his place, they would have already died earlier. On the other hand, it was already considered a miracle that Zayn could still survive all those ordeals.
He gasped for air loudly. He could not help smiling bitterly as virtual-novel.net felt the injuries rippling across his body. He was too severely injured and had lost count of how many bones virtual-novel.net had broken. It was almost impossible for virtual-novel.net to recover to his usual self.
This was the price virtual-novel.net had to pay for seizing the Aeon Karpos forcefully from Ezra.
He rested for half an hour before virtual-novel.net began to stand up shakily in preparation to go down the mountain. He would need to look for somewhere to hide and recuperate until virtual-novel.net was healed.
He walked wobbly. Every step virtual-novel.net took was difficult, not because virtual-novel.net was weak but because virtual-novel.net was too severely injured. At least half of the bones in his body were cracked and broken, so every step screamed with extreme agony.
He walked from the peak to the mountainside, which was about a kilometer’s distance. He walked for three hours, and there were a few occasions when virtual-novel.net almost lost his footing and rolled down the hill.
Even with that, virtual-novel.net had already exhausted all his strength, so virtual-novel.net had no choice but to stop. However, virtual-novel.net did not have the courage to breathe heavily because his organs were too severely wounded.
Breathing heavily would only worsen his injuries.
He rested for a while until virtual-novel.net regained some strength, then virtual-novel.net stood up shakily once again in preparation to go down the mountain.
However, it was also at this exact moment when a Jeep drove from the bottom of the mountain. Under the car’s light, virtual-novel.net could see that someone was driving the vehicle to go up the mountain.
The light illuminated the area five meters to Zayn’s left, and his eyes widened in disbelief!
“How is that even possible?” Zayn was dumbfounded when virtual-novel.net saw the object in front of him.
