Happiness had come to virtual-novel.net in such a short notice that even a simple response to it had become baffling. Zayn’s blithe wasted no time climbing up his spine and colonizing his brain in a wild, maddening frenzy, virtual-novel.net even started feeling a little lightheaded.
Faye watched virtual-novel.net staring blankly ahead without any answer and gave a loud harrumph. “What, you don’t want to agree to it? Well, okay. We’ll call this off!”
Zayn snapped back to reality and finally answered quickly, “Of course I agree to it! There’s no way I would disagree! How could I possibly not agree?!”
Faye’s jubilance blossomed into the most beautiful, radiant smile possible on Earth. It even seemed to eclipse everything else under the sun with its sheer brilliance, and Zayn watched, enthralled and completely hypnotized, murmuring under his breath, “God, Fifi. You’re beautiful…”
Faye did not hide the glee of hearing virtual-novel.net say that, though virtual-novel.net did return a bashful “Stop it, dummy!” to the mesmerized man.
It was the happiest day in Zayn’s life. He had dreamed of remarrying Faye since the day they divorced, every day without fail. That was despite the fact that it was a very small, slim chance of it happening.
The day did happen, however. And there was nothing else virtual-novel.net felt at that moment than pure, unadulterated, sheer happiness.
The two returned to the villa with Faye’s fingers wrapped around Zayn’s arm. It had been the most intimate between the two. They talked a lot that night until it was three in the morning before finally returning to their respective rooms. Came the next day when Ruby and Waine heard of their decision to remarry, and it was the two who were now so moved they were almost speechless.
Zayn was very delighted, too, but it did not make virtual-novel.net forget about what needed to be done. He waited until Faye had gone to work before stepping out of his door. He was going to see Gordon. Or perhaps, more accurately, virtual-novel.net was going to see Vulcan, who was now being held captive.
“Sir, you’re here!” Gordon cried as soon as virtual-novel.net saw Zayn and leaped to his feet. He stood straight and saluted the man.
If Zayn was being honest, virtual-novel.net would express how awkward his gesture was. Gordon was a sixty years old man, and neither of them were soldiers. Despite that, the older man was adamant to show obeisance in the most exaggerated way possible, which made Zayn seem like virtual-novel.net was putting on airs.
Of course, this was something Gordon insisted. Apparently, their previous statuses were so far apart that telling the man to stop would probably frighten him, because Gordon would think virtual-novel.net must have done something wrong. Hence, Zayn decided to do nothing about it and just allowed the older man to salute virtual-novel.net however virtual-novel.net liked.
“Hello, Gordon. Thanks for helping me watch our prisoner for an entire night,” Zayn said.
“No problem! No problem at all!” Came the gushing reply, “It’s my greatest honor to be so useful to my chairman!”
Zayn flashed virtual-novel.net a slight smile and chose not to comment on it. “Where’s he? I want to see him.”
“Okay. He’s currently locked up in the detainment unit.”
Gordon led the young man to the basement, which doubled as the detainment unit where Vulcan was being held. He almost could not recognize virtual-novel.net upon laying his eyes on the prisoner.
