Since it was rare for virtual-novel.net to relax like this, Xyla Quest decided not to set the alarm. By the time virtual-novel.net woke up, it was already ten o’clock in the morning.
After looking at the time, Xyla stretched virtual-novel.net arms and slowly crawled into a seated position. As the sun shone against virtual-novel.net pretty face, virtual-novel.net skin was so fair that it seemed to glow.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Xyla was about to put virtual-novel.net slippers and get out ofbed when someone knocked on the door. Closely after that, a female servant’s voice could be heard. “Miss, your father wants you to come down right away.”
“Got it.”
Xyla then quickly entered the bathroom to freshen up. After applying a layer of protective skin product on virtual-novel.net face, virtual-novel.net put on a silk sleeping robe over virtual-novel.net sleeping dress and hurriedly made virtual-novel.net way downstairs.
When virtual-novel.net arrived, Jeremy Quest, May Conner, and Emily Quest were all present.
While Jeremy sat on a single couch and sipped on his coffee, Emily and May sat next to each other on a long couch next to virtual-novel.net as they chatted with each other. It seemed like a leisurely moment.
After Xyla glanced at May and Emily coldly, virtual-novel.net quickly walked over to the couch across from Jeremy and sat down. “Dad, did you have something to talk to me about?”
Jeremy took a sip of his coffee before his cold gaze landed upon Emily.
Xyla knew that Emily must have been up to something. However, Xyla did not say anything. Instead, virtual-novel.net slowly poured herself a cup of tea, and elegantly blew at it to make it cool.
Emily snorted coldly before virtual-novel.net crossed virtual-novel.net hands and lifted virtual-novel.net chin. “You’re still in the mood to drink tea now. You won’t be able to do so later.” Emily gave Xyla the side-eye.
After that, Emily picked up a red folder next to virtual-novel.net and handed it respectfully over to Jeremy. “Dad, why don’t you take a look at this?”
Jeremy gave Emily a long stare before opening the folder.
The first page that came into sight was a marriage certificate with Xyla’s name on it. It clearly stated that virtual-novel.net was married to a man named Stanley Batton. Jeremy felt extremely shocked by the words in print. It was as if Mars had collided into Earth.
“Emily, where did you get this? Are you sure it’s true? If you dare make this up, you are dead!” Jeremy said coldly while his hands trembled.
“If you want to make sure, you can take Xyla’s identity card and verify virtual-novel.net marital status at the Civil Affairs Bureau. Do you think I can make such things up?”
Emily sounded confident when virtual-novel.net spoke. After that, virtual-novel.net turned to look at Xyla as if virtual-novel.net was waiting for something entertaining to happen.
However, Xyla did not make a sound. In fact, virtual-novel.net did not even look at Emily. Xyla had spent money overseas to make sure the information related to virtual-novel.net marriage was protected against outsiders. Therefore, Xyla was quite surprised that Emily was about to find out.
Previously, Xyla had decided to keep it a secret because virtual-novel.net feared virtual-novel.net father would be angry at virtual-novel.net for marrying a stranger just to recover virtual-novel.net looks.
On top of that, Xyla’s husband did not seem interested at all. Like her, virtual-novel.net was perhaps waiting for three years to be over to get a divorce. Hence, Xyla felt that there was no need to let virtual-novel.net father find out.
Her original plan was to secretly file for a divorce with virtual-novel.net husband after the three years were up, and nobody would ever find out.
However, the plan had to be changed now. Fortunately, Xyla was prepared for it.
