Kenneth did not care about anyone else as he stood in the middle of the Silkshade House group of hitmen. It was as though he were not worried for his safety at all. Instead, it was Julia, who was carrying a box on her back, who kept a close eye on everyone in case somebody tried to sneak attack Kenneth.
Olivia glanced at Kenneth. “My boss only said you were his friend. He didn’t say you were his best friend.”
“Really?” Kenneth’s eyes lit up. “He said I’m his friend?”
He didn’t at all care about the latter half of Olivia’s reply. Instead, it seemed he was happy enough to hear that Milo regarded him as a friend.
Around them, Vanilla and the other Silkshade House hitmen were looking at Kenneth and Olivia in bewilderment.
