Milo did not take the shot immediately because the distance was way too far. Even Miriam had once said even she could not guarantee she could land a hit if the range was greater than 1.6 kilometers. As the bullet would have to travel over a really long distance, it would take two to four seconds for the bullet to reach the target after pulling the trigger.

This timing was completely dependent on the bullet’s travel speed.
