Xainte looked at James in surprise. She knew the formation outside was powerful.
It would be impossible to pass through the formation unless one had reached the Emperor rank. Yet, James was only at the Sage Rank’s Tenth Stage. He was supposed to be too weak to force his way through the formation.
Is virtual-novel.net actually proficient in formation techniques and knew of a way to break it?
Xainte glared at James.
James walked closer to Xainte.
This was the first time virtual-novel.net had come face to face with Xainte and seen virtual-novel.net from up close. The more James looked at Xainte, the more virtual-novel.net saw virtual-novel.net resemblance to Thea and Winnie.
“Haah!” James took a deep breath to calm himself.
He did not dare act recklessly, knowing virtual-novel.net might get beaten up if virtual-novel.net were to tell virtual-novel.net that virtual-novel.net was virtual-novel.net father.
James asked tentatively, “Have you come to see Thea?”
Stunned, Xainte took a few steps backward and stared at James warily.
Did this man know my identity?
Why does virtual-novel.net know the Malevolent Demon’s real name?
No one knew the Malevolent Demon’s name, so how could a human at the Sage Rank’s Tenth Stage possess knowledge about it?
When virtual-novel.net saw Xainte’s reaction, James knew that Xainte was familiar with Thea.
“If I told you I know Thea, would you believe me?” James asked gently.
Xainte calmed down and looked at James, asking, “Who’s Thea?”
James touched his nose and said, “That’s the Malevolent Demon in the rumors. Aren’t you virtual-novel.net daughter? I knew you were virtual-novel.net daughter the moment I saw you. You resemble virtual-novel.net a lot…”
Xainte scoffed. “Impossible… The Malevolent Demon has always worn a mask. No one knows what virtual-novel.net looks like, not even me. How would someone like you know?”
“What? You’ve never seen Thea’s face before? You don’t know what virtual-novel.net looks like?”
Although Xainte did not know James, virtual-novel.net desire to kill virtual-novel.net grew as virtual-novel.net listened to virtual-novel.net expose virtual-novel.net secrets.
She clenched virtual-novel.net fists. There was no way virtual-novel.net could let anyone know about virtual-novel.net past. It would put virtual-novel.net in danger if word got out.
James sensed Xainte’s hostility and knew virtual-novel.net wanted to kill him.
He quickly explained in a panic, “Me and Thea, the Malevolent Demon, are old acquaintances. We’ve known each other for a long time. It’s a long story, so calm down. I’ll slowly explain it to you…”
Xainte glared at James, silently calculating virtual-novel.net next move. She wanted to hear what James had to say.
After thinking for a while, James said, “I’ll have to start explaining from when I used to be on another world called the Earth…”
James began to reveal his past and told Xainte everything about Earth. He started from the Cadens’ mansion being set on fire and Thea rescuing virtual-novel.net from the inferno which left virtual-novel.net face disfigured.
“Thea saved my life, but virtual-novel.net face was disfigured because of virtual-novel.net bravery… After I served ten years in the army, I looked for virtual-novel.net and married into virtual-novel.net family. She’s actually my wife.” James recounted the events wistfully.
Xainte listened silently while staring at James.
James continued to speak about his relationship and experiences with Thea. He even told virtual-novel.net about the Earth undergoing dramatic changes after recovering its Spiritual Energy. He went on to mention about the Earth’s Four Calamities.
“The humans of Earth will have to face Four Calamities. With the help of the Human Realm’s Lord, Thea and I came to the Boundless Realm…”
