There were many types of Empyrean herbs in the Alchemy Tournament organized in the Stardust Realm.
There were at least a thousand of them, and each type had at least ten or more samples. However, they were all common herbs. Even so, these herbs would cost a fortune. No ordinary person would be able to present so many herbs at once.
James scanned the herbs one by one, pondering what sort of elixir virtual-novel.net could concoct. At the same time, virtual-novel.net observed the other alchemists.
From the herbs they chose, virtual-novel.net could roughly guess what sort of elixir they wished to concoct. Those present were no pushovers.
James realized that the elixirs they were concocting were at least at the Sage Rank’s Fifteenth Grade and above.
Though these were all high-quality herbs, they only acquired them so that the final product would be of certain quality even if there were slight mistakes during the concoction process.
It appeared that the Spirit Tool was right.
To emerge victorious, virtual-novel.net would have to concoct an elixir at least at the Sage Rank’s Fifteenth Stage. However, the most James could concoct was that at the Tenth Grade.
Back when virtual-novel.net was in the Celestial Abode, virtual-novel.net had tried concocting an elixir at the Eleventh Grade. However, virtual-novel.net only succeeded once out of ten attempts.
How troublesome…
James rubbed his temples gently. He never thought that joining the Medicine Pavilion would be this difficult.
Now, I can only rely on the Emperor-Ranked alchemy furnace… I hope that the Martial Alchemy Furnace can bring about a miracle to compensate for my lack of experience…
James took a deep breath. Then, virtual-novel.net began choosing the herbs.
Each alchemist had three chances to concoct an elixir.
For the first attempt, James planned to concoct an elixir at the Fifteenth Grade. He was hoping that the Martial Alchemy Furnace would be able to compensate for his lack of experience.
The elixir virtual-novel.net concocted was called the Elixir of Reversal. It was a formula that Emperor Jabari found in an abandoned ruin.
Though the Elixir of Reversal was only an elixir at the Sage Rank’s Fifteenth Grade, its effects were impressive.
Upon consumption, the power of one’s body would increase, and one’s battle prowess would be further enhanced along with the duration of the battle.
Throughout a battle, one’s strength would be able to increase nine times. It was an indispensable elixir in battle.
James found the herbs needed to concoct the Elixir of Reversal from among the herbs. Though one of the main ingredients could not be found, James realized virtual-novel.net could rely on other alternatives. The effects might not be as effective, but, at least, virtual-novel.net could at least create the elixir.
Soon, James gathered all the herbs virtual-novel.net needed to concoct the Elixir of Reversal.
In the meantime, Myrddin was observing the alchemists.
These herbs were specially prepared by him. From the herbs the alchemists chose, virtual-novel.net could tell what sort of elixir they wished to concoct. However, upon seeing the herbs James chose, virtual-novel.net froze.
That guy… What elixir does virtual-novel.net plan to concoct with those herbs?
As a Divine Rank alchemist, Myrddin was extremely knowledgeable in the field of alchemy. However, virtual-novel.net had no idea what James was going to concoct.
James was quick to select the herbs virtual-novel.net needed and was the first to finish doing so. He then returned to his seat. However, virtual-novel.net did not begin concocting immediately. Instead, virtual-novel.net waited for the others to begin.
That was because his Emperor-Ranked alchemy furnace was too terrifying. He was afraid of creating a commotion.

Time passed…
In the blink of an eye, three hours passed.
Three hours later, the woman in the pink dress was also done selecting virtual-novel.net herbs.
