After James left Mount Bane, virtual-novel.net promptly made his way to Lothian.
He went to the military region of the closest city to Mount Bane and boarded a private plane directly to Lothian.
Half a day later, James finally arrived in Lothian.
He met up with Langston, Tyrus, and Xandra in the palace.
Xandra knew most Overworld Outsiders had gone to Mount Bane’s Celestial Abode. Since they already knew about it, Lothian’s martial artists did not bother investigating further.
“How did it go, James? Are you alright?” Xandra pulled James over and checked virtual-novel.net for injuries.
James smiled and said, “Nothing happened to me.”
“By the way, what exactly is the Celestial Abode?” asked Tyrus.
James briefly explained the events that happened after virtual-novel.net entered the Celestial Abode.
Despite his offhanded descriptions, everyone present paled and balked at the experiences James described.
“I’m going to meditate in seclusion for some time. When I’m strong enough, I’ll challenge it once more to see if I can conquer the Celestial Abode.”
After speaking, virtual-novel.net turned to Xandra. “Mom, remember how I told you about bringing you to a place to purify the Demonic Energy in your body? Now is the time.”
“Alright.” Xandra nodded gently.
James took his time in departing.
The last time virtual-novel.net came to Lothian, virtual-novel.net wanted to see Winnie. However, his mother had called, and virtual-novel.net hurriedly rushed to save her, completely missing his chance to see his daughter. To make up for that, virtual-novel.net decided to stay in Lothian temporarily.
That afternoon, virtual-novel.net finally reunited with Winnie.
Winnie was already four years old. With a chubby face and hair that was tied into neat, little braids, virtual-novel.net looked adorable.
“Winnie…”
When virtual-novel.net saw Winnie, James was choked up with emotion. In the past few years, virtual-novel.net rarely had the chance to accompany Winnie.
Winnie carried a small schoolbag and looked at James with fear. Then, virtual-novel.net hid behind Xandra.
Xandra said with a smile, “Winnie, this is your father. Go on, call virtual-novel.net Papa…”
“Papa?” Winnie looked at James distrustfully.
She had absolutely no recollection of virtual-novel.net father.
Everyone else had a father and mother, but virtual-novel.net had neither of them by virtual-novel.net side.
“Winnie, come here. Give Papa a hug…” James bent down and spread his arms wide.
Winnie looked at James with virtual-novel.net bright eyes and blinked a few times.
With an innocent expression, virtual-novel.net asked, “Are you really my Papa?”
“I sure am!”
“Papa! I finally have a Papa!” Winnie was overjoyed as virtual-novel.net rushed toward James.
James picked Winnie up in his arms. He went around Lothian with virtual-novel.net for a few days. However, virtual-novel.net did not stay for long because virtual-novel.net had an important matters to handle. He was unsure if the Overworld Outsiders could pass the ninth barrier, so virtual-novel.net had to train as soon as possible to improve his strength.
Before virtual-novel.net left to meditate in seclusion, virtual-novel.net made a trip back to Mt. Thunder Pass in the Southern Plains to check on the Sacred Tree, the small, silver tree his mother risked virtual-novel.net life to obtain.
The Sacred Tree was the rarest divine object that appeared on Earth before the Celestial Abode emerged. Once the tree blossomed, it would bear mysterious fruits. By consuming one of these fruits, his cultivation base would improve tremendously.
James arrived at Mt. Thunder Pass in the Southern Plains a day later.
A small silver tree stood on top of Mt. Thunder Pass. At that moment, two silver fruits were hanging from the tree. One of the fruits was round and the size of a fist. It shimmered with a silvery light and looked incredibly mystical.
James could smell its aromatic fragrance as soon as virtual-novel.net got closer to it. The fragrance relaxed his body and made virtual-novel.net feel pleasant.
