James finally understood why Nova said an average family was incapable of training alchemists.
The learning process required a lot of materials. Since Empyrean herbs were valuable, learning to be an alchemist would cost a lot of spiritual crystals. However, James did not have these worries.
Empyrean herbs were abundant in the Celestial Abode.
James began to practice.
Soon, virtual-novel.net could extract some components from the herbs, but they were low-graded components. Afterward, virtual-novel.net started using extracted components according to the formulas to refine elixirs. Many medicinal herb powders appeared in the alchemy furnace.
James carefully controlled the flame, and the powders slowly fused to form a few round pills.
“Haha! I did it!” Seeing that virtual-novel.net successfully refined a pill, James laughed out loud.
Nova immediately humbled virtual-novel.net by saying, “Don’t get too excited. You only refined a very simple pill. It’ll be much more complicated to refine higher- grade pills and elixirs. You must at least refine a Fifteenth-Grade Sage Rank Elixir to win the Alchemy Tournament. You still have a long way to go.”
Hearing this, James grew dejected.
A Fifteenth-Grade Sage Rank Elixir?
Could virtual-novel.net succeed with the remaining time?
The pill that James refined was of an average grade. Average elixirs were also graded from the First Grade to Ninth Grade. Only elixirs after the Ninth Grade were considered Sage Rank.
James immediately felt a headache coming up upon thinking about all of this complicated stuff.
Alchemy was very complex. If not because virtual-novel.net had to become an alchemist, virtual-novel.net would never want to learn alchemy. However, it was important since virtual-novel.net had to obtain the Ancestral God Rank elixir.
The Ancestral God Rank elixir was related to the survival of humans in the entire universe.
James took a deep breath and put away his thoughts. Then, virtual-novel.net continued practicing and refining medicinal elixirs in the Celestial Abode’s Time Chamber.
James’ improvement was pretty fast. Even Nova could not help praising James as a talented alchemist and saying that James would become an outstanding alchemist with more practice.
Time passed by quickly as James continued to practice in the Time Chamber. Three years passed in the outside world in the blink of an eye.
“Time’s almost up, James. You’ll miss the Alchemy Tournament if you don’t leave now.” Nova reminded him.
Hearing Nova’s voice, James stopped practicing.
James looked at Nova and said, “I’m only capable of refining a Tenth- Grade Sage Rank elixir now. Do you think I can win or stand out in the Alchemy Tournament?”
Nova smiled and said, “I don’t know, but you’ll have to try. Bring the Martial Alchemy Furnace with you. It might be of help.”
“Mhm…” James nodded.
There was no other choice but to try.
“Still, your improvements are the fastest among the alchemists I’ve seen. You’ve got great potential. Emperor Jabari had recruited many disciples in the past, but none of them compare to you.” Nova was very optimistic about James.
James smiled in response.
The great number of herbs available in the Celestial Abode was a vital factor that contributed to his quick attainment of such great results. He would not have improved at such a rapid pace if there were not so many Empyrean herbs available for practice.
