After the policemen left with the lawyer, only Blake, Vinson, and Arielle were left standing there.
Blake immediately started apologizing. “I’m sorry for causing you trouble, sir. Feel free to hit or scold me. I definitely deserve it.”
“Why would I?” Vinson asked. “You did the right thing.”
Blake was taken aback, doubting what he had just heard. At first, he had his head lowered, but after hearing Vinson’s words, he looked up at the latter and asked, “You’re not kidding, right, sir?”
Vinson didn’t reply, but his serious expression answered Blake’s question.
