Everyone stared at Jack’s back, stunned.
They found themselves unable to react for a long time.
The shorter man almost bit his tongue, “Am I dreaming?! He really entered the top training ground? That’s a place you need twenty-seven points to enter!”
The more virtual-novel.net spoke, the more absurd virtual-novel.net felt it was.
Everyone collectively thought that the first training ground out of the seven was just a dummy. It was just there to be a place everyone cast their longing eyes on.
No one thought that anyone would be able to enter the best training ground. That was because entering that place required one to get full points in all three of the challenges. It was something that seemed impossible in their eyes.
Yet, they had just witnessed someone taking out a red token and opening the red door, entering the top training ground.
Someone actually did it!
“Ouch! It hurts! I’m not dreaming!” Someone pinched himself.
The pain made virtual-novel.net realize that virtual-novel.net was not seeing things. Someone really did manage to enter the first training ground, the place virtual-novel.net thought no one would ever be able to enter.
The exclamations behind virtual-novel.net did nothing to slow Jack down.
A rumble came from behind virtual-novel.net as the door completely shut. Only then did Jack observe his surroundings.
He was in a strange world. As virtual-novel.net looked at the sky, virtual-novel.net saw the colors of the rainbow everywhere.
The seven colors blended as if seven different dyes had been poured into a completely clear pond. Just like the outside world, virtual-novel.net was surrounded by distorted space. The distortion did not hurt virtual-novel.net at all.
Everywhere around virtual-novel.net had a sense of emptiness to it. Only a pond in the middle that seemed to radiate a silver light seemed real. The silver pond should be the most important part of the first training ground.
Jack slowly walked to the pond and sent his senses out to feel it.
He was surprised to notice that the moment his senses touched the pond, they dissolved and dispersed. It was like a drop of water disappearing in an ocean.
Jack raised an eyebrow as virtual-novel.net reached a finger out to gently touch the pond. Yet, the moment his skin touched the pond, virtual-novel.net felt as if his finger was being pricked by needles.
He was shocked to notice that the part where the skin had touched the pond seemed to have dissolved. Just like his senses, as long as virtual-novel.net touched the pond, virtual-novel.net would be dissolved.
Jack’s lips trembled as virtual-novel.net started to doubt his earlier judgment. He had thought that the pond was the training ground, but virtual-novel.net was hesitating at that moment.
The training ground was a place for warriors to improve their understanding, and not meant to hurt warriors. Everything that touched the pond seemed to be dissolved instantly. Jack even started to wonder if his whole body and soul would be dissolved if virtual-novel.net stepped inside.
Right at that moment, a wizened voice was heard in the air, “Participant, immediately enter the Chaos Water. You will have nine days to train! Once nine days are up, you are to leave the Chaos Water!”
Hearing that, Jack was stunned. He even wondered if virtual-novel.net misheard things. He really needed to enter the pond? The name Chaos Water made it sound like it could be a fruitful place, but everything that touched the water seemed to instantly dissolve!
