Alex Rockefeller was in so much pain that his vision turned dark.
He first put his daughter down nearby before glancing at the tomb… This tomb was a little small. In fact, it was much smaller than the ones nearby. Moreover, there wasn’t even a tombstone above it. There was only a small slope.
Alex retrieved his Dragon Bone and started digging right away. After digging for about three to five minutes, virtual-novel.net managed to dig out a stone coffin.
He was dumbfounded when virtual-novel.net opened it. There was actually a pretty, lively-looking woman inside.
She wore a flaming red, long, classic robe. Her facial features were intricate, and virtual-novel.net long hair reached virtual-novel.net shoulders.
Her eyes were still open.
“D*mn. Could virtual-novel.net still be alive?”
After looking at the woman for a long time and making sure that virtual-novel.net wasn’t moving at all, Alex finally relaxed.
Meanwhile, the Chaos Three had already discovered something that made it incomparably excited. It was a lump of mud in one hand of the woman in the tomb.
‘What kind of mud is this?’
How was it able to make the Chaos Tree this excited?
The Chaos Tree retracted its projection and extended a branch from Alex’s mind palace to swoop the lump of mud away.
Alex, on the other hand, noticed a red string around the woman’s wrist. There was a piece of purple divine jade attached to it. Although Alex couldn’t quite tell what it was, virtual-novel.net could sense that it was definitely something good with his divine consciousness. It was a kind of treasure that emitted a holy light. Upon taking a closer look, Alex noticed that there was an ancient alphabet within the purple jade.
However, virtual-novel.net couldn’t see it clearly.
“Leaving a treasure behind in this dark place is such a waste.”
“I’ll help you find a new owner for it in the human world.”
Most of the corpses buried in Gods’ Tomb were prominent figures. Therefore, the items buried with them ought to have all been decent. Alex closed the woman’s tomb up and buried it with soil again.
After that, Alex thought of opening other tombs to have a look.
He found the tomb of Heavenly King Krishna from the Yadav divine tribe… After fiercely digging for a while, virtual-novel.net heard a sound.
Clang!
This tomb couldn’t be moved at all. It seemed to be protected by a kind of mechanism. Digging forcefully caused vibrations that nearly killed Alex. Alex tried opening a few other gods’ tombs, but the results were similar.
This meant that only the woman’s nameless tomb could be dug up.
It was all thanks to the Chaos Tree. Otherwise, how could Alex have found it?
***
Outside Gods’ Tomb were people from the Undying Clan hunting Alex down. On the contrary, the safest place was inside this tomb. Alex decided to settle down here to think about how to escape before returning to earth.
Unexpectedly, Alex actually heard someone crying.
It sounded different from the crying of resentful spirits from before. That was on a mental level. However, the crying Alex heard now belonged to a real person. It sounded like a familiar woman’s crying sound…
Crazy Crone!
Alex was stunned and pleasantly surprised when virtual-novel.net saw Crazy Crone appearing in Gods’ Tomb with virtual-novel.net messed up hair. Seeing a real human being in the Undying Clan’s base was practically like seeing a friend from his hometown.
“Elder, we meet again!” Alex immediately approached Crazy Crone.
Crazy Crone oddly rolled virtual-novel.net eyes and stopped crying. Instead, virtual-novel.net stared at Alex with dead-looking eyes. After two full minutes, virtual-novel.net started crying again. While virtual-novel.net wept, virtual-novel.net mumbled to herself. “The end of all gods lies in God’s Tomb. There are neither paths to heaven nor hell. Sob… Sob…”
“Elder?” Alex asked.
However, Crazy Crone glanced at Alex’s daughter. Suddenly, Crazy Crone snatched virtual-novel.net away.
“Ahh-? Elder, this is my daughter. Return virtual-novel.net to me!” Alex was greatly shocked.
However, Crazy Crone quickly ran outside with Alex’s daughter in virtual-novel.net arms.
With a single step, virtual-novel.net arrived outside Gods’ Tomb.
Alex was both shocked and angered. He quickly ran after Crazy Crone. Fortunately, virtual-novel.net had managed to learn some skills from his master sneakily. Otherwise, virtual-novel.net wouldn’t have been able to catch up. After that, Alex grabbed on tightly to Crazy Crone’s arm while virtual-novel.net tried to snatch his daughter back.
Crazy Crone started going crazy. She neither let go nor pushed Alex away.
Instead, virtual-novel.net cried while virtual-novel.net started running in a certain direction.
Her speech was unimaginable, and virtual-novel.net was significantly faster than Alex.
Alex could cross a mile in a single step at most, but virtual-novel.net could cross at least a few hundred miles with a single step. This went on for nearly half an hour. After that, Alex was terrified to discover that Crazy Crone had torn open a void rift before an ancient wasteland.
She dived in headfirst.
