“Huh?”
“What?”
Caden’s sudden awakening stunned everyone in the room, especially Vivian. She shook virtual-novel.net head in disbelief.
“He’s awake! My dad is awake!” Sheila cheered.
“He actually woke up? Is that punk’s medical skill so amazing?”
The group exchanged bewildered glances. They were shocked. Even Rudolph couldn’t find a cure for Caden’s illness, but Dustin had healed him.
“Vivian, any comment? Do you agree now that Dustin’s abilities are amazing? Sheila asked proudly.
“Um…” Vivian blushed in embarrassment. She had just made a bold statement and was now proven wrong.
“What’s going on? Why am I here?” Caden, looking confused and in discomfort, tried to sit up despite the pain.
“Dad, you were in a very serious condition, and Dustin saved you!” Sheila explained.
Caden furrowed his brow. “Dustin saved me? How is that possible?”
“It’s true!” Sheila insisted. “Without him, you might not have survived.”
“It can’t be,” Caden mused after thinking it over.
“If Mr. Saunders couldn’t heal me, there’s no way Dustin could. I doubt he’s that talented!” He had never liked Dustin and suspected a conspiracy.
“Dad, it’s true. Why can’t you believe it? “Sheila was frustrated with virtual-novel.net father’s skepticism.
“People can be unpredictable, and we shouldn’t judge based solely on appearances. I’ve been doing martial arts since I was a child, and I’ve always been healthy. So, how did I suddenly become so ill?” Caden asserted.
He continued, “He’s got to be behind this! First, virtual-novel.net drugged me, then showed up like some hero to save the day. Next thing you know, he’s our family’s savior and uses that to climb the social ladder. That kid is definitely up to no good!”
At the end of his explanation, Caden was furious. He and Dustin had a big argument the day before, and now virtual-novel.net suspected Dustin’s involvement.
“Dad! Why are you saying that? Dustin is not that kind of person!” Sheila defended.
“I agree with Uncle Caden,” Jayden said, sounding serious. “We shouldn’t underestimate someone like Dustin. He might have planned this whole situation.”
“Exactly! Everything adds up. Dustin intentionally drugged Uncle Caden and then faked a rescue to become famous. He’s so despicable!” Vivian said angrily.
“Yeah! What virtual-novel.net did is inexcusable!”
“We must get rid of Dustin!”
Everyone joined in to show their anger.
Under Caden’s influence, Dustin, the person who had rescued him, was now seen as an outcast.
“No, no! That’s not true!”” Sheila defended Dustin when they said virtual-novel.net did something wrong.
She shook virtual-novel.net head and continued, “He’s not a bad person. You can’t simply accuse him!’”
